Excessive Underarm Sweating

One of the most embarrassing things in the world I think is going to a party, being a great dancer, and being afraid to dance. Although this isn't a problem for most people, if you have excessive underarm sweating, it can be your worst nightmare.

Of all the embarrassing things in the world I think this is the worst one because it is something that many people can't help but it is so mocked by other people that it makes it hard to deal with it.

If you have found yourself in a situation similar to this I can tell you that this can be a medical problem and that you are not alone. There are people who suffer from excessive underarm sweating. In fact, I suffer from it myself and I want you to know that there is more to life than worrying about this situation of excessive underarm sweating.

You see, excessive under arm sweating is actually called Hyperhidrosis -- that is, this is the technical term for it. Some experts estimate that 2-3% of Americans suffer from this problem.

You can imagine that it can be even more embarrassing if it affects those areas. I think the biggest problem with excessive underarm sweating is that people around you don't understand it and think that you are dirty because let’s face it; it does carry a peculiar odor.

Causes of Hyperhidrosis
Doctors really don't know the answer to what causes Hyperhidrosis but many say that it may be caused by anxiety, heat and emotions, it could be genetic or a problem with an overactive sympathetic nervous system. Whatever the reason this happens, there are ways that you can get relief from excessive underarm sweating.

How To Get Relief from Excessive Underarm Sweating
Most people who suffer from excessive underarm sweating will first start with a visit with the doctor. After the doctor sees what is happening they often tell you about over the counter antiperspirants. Many of these are good like 5Day or Certain Dry. If this doesn’t work, the doctor will probably recommend a prescription antiperspirant like Drysol that has more aluminum chloride that is the ingredient that stops people from sweating.

You can also try oral medications or Botox, both of which are effective if you need something stronger for your excessive underarm sweating. There are also herbal treatments like DeodoRite which is also very helpful.

The bottom line is that you don't have to be embarrassed anymore because you aren't alone with this excessive underarm sweating.

I have been suffering with excessive underarm sweating my whole life, I have seen a handful of doctors and tried everything I can think of. I recently started using a product called 1-2Dry and it has been working really great. It absorbs all the sweat in these little comfortable pads that go under my clothes- which ensures no one can see it and I don't get any embarrassing stains! Hope this might help others with my same problem!
